I decided it is time for a re-introduction of myself. I started the blog in October 2009 and I think a lot of readers have come and gone during this time.
I am Johann du Plessis and I live in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is where South Africa is on our wonderful planet:
South Africa have 9 provinces and Johannesburg is in Gauteng in the north eastern part of the country.
South African flag.
The photos below show me as you would most often see me on this blog. On a trail somewhere in a beautiful spot in our beautiful country. I love sharing these wonderful places with everyone around the world.
I think that is also my favourite part of blogging...sharing my world with everyone and reading other blogs to see and learn what is shared about their parts of the world. You people have a very special place in my life and blogging and bloggers form a part of me that I would not like to be without ever again.I'm also lucky to have my wonderful wife Anette in my life. She supports my running and everything else I do 100% and is always there for me. I love her with all my heart. Anette is always there to support me.
We have three kids - Roberto, Carla and Rohann. They are our life and I will dedicate a full post to them at a later stage. That's me in a small nutshell.
Have a great weekend and run strong my friends!

I always enjoy reading your posts Johann. Love seeing your country and hearing about your races.
Thanks for posting this! It was wonderful to read!
I've been following your blog for awhile, but I still enjoyed your reintroduction!
I always read your blog but I loved this update! Love the maps, love the picture of Annette, love that you love bloggers too!
I hear there are many similarities mbetween RSA and Southern California -especially climate. The biggest difference is that the water in your toilets rotates the wrong way.....
Always enjoy your updates. Also, I'm planning a trip to South Africa for 2014 so I may be emailing you for some advice!
You have a beautiful family! I, too, enjoy the camaraderie formed through blogging and learning about others so far away! One day I hope to visit you and your great country.
