Life is happening

Life is really busy at the moment and I must apologize for not commenting on your blogs as often as I usually do. A few things are happening:

I moved to a different customer on 15 Feb and although I still work for the same place it is pretty much the same as changing jobs. I’ve been really busy from day 1 and I’m still trying to find out who’s who and what’s what for what.

A few days before I changed customers, an idiot reading while driving to work drove into the back of my car. Damage is about R7500 and luckily insurance is all fine. The problem is that I’ve been without a car since I started the new project. Not happy at all! I’m relying on someone to drop me off at work and also pick me up at night but this means longer than usual days with less blogging and other life hours available.

Running is one area where everything is going 100% as planned. I haven’t missed any runs and this is one reason why I love running early in the morning. Get the run in before life messes up the day. That’s why I start my runs between 4:00 and 4:30 AM.

The International Running Flag of Friendship is a definite go! I just need some time to get it started and will post as soon as I have things in place.

I’m running the Vaal Marathon on Sunday and will post a report early next week. In the mean time…let’s embrace and enjoy life!

Happy running!

That stinks about your car. Glad insurance is taking care of it, and I hope the hassle is over soon. I think we all go through seasons where we're able to spend less time on blogging/reading other blogs. Darn life getting in the way. :)

Good luck on your marathon...can't wait to hear about it!

Seems I am not the only morning bird out there.
Glad the accident was only truck damage. I can't believe things people do while driving.
Wish you that all calms down in your life and soon.
Take care.

Bummer about the accident, at least you were fine, if not the car. Glad to hear all the running stuff is going well, that too is my favorite part of the day, when I am running! Cheers! Good luck with your first weeks at the new customer.

Hi Johann,
Life sure knows how to mess us up for a bit...but it sounds like your running is still going excellent! Sorry to hear about the car issues. Something similar happened to me a few years ago. I feel for you and know how much it sucks not having a car.

Good luck on Sunday! I can't wait for the report:)

That really sucks about your car. It's always so inconvenient waiting to have it fixed up.

I sympathize about the car. I got mine back from the idiot who drove into mine! I did pretty well without it. First I was on vacation and then I was sick!

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about your car! :( That's such a bummer. How relieving is it that you've been able to keep all your runs in line, though? I love how working out can give us a feeling of stability in our lives, and I'm grateful you have that right now.

Good luck this weekend!

Running in the morning is the way to go! If I missed it in the A.M., I probably wouldn't run. So sorry to hear about your car. My husband has been dropping off & picking me up from work since last June due to my car being totalled in a 4 car pile-up. So glad you weren't hurt and that insurance is all good. Also great that inconveniences like these haven't thrown off your running.

Happy Running to you too!

Hmmmmh, maybe you need a new insurance company b/c it should include a rental car. Or, maybe they don't do that in S.A. Maybe you should run to/from work.

I'm so sorry to hear about your car but I am relieved to hear you are okay. That is always most important.

I am looking forward to seeing this friendship flag take off - and participating in it, too!
