Monday Musings

1. A quick update on the Body for Life program we started. I’ve lost 1.1kg (2.4 pounds) and Anette lost 0.8kg (1.76 pounds) so far. We have been very good and I’m back to my 6 days a week running with strength and core training added 4 times a week. Anette is following the program very strictly and I’m bending it to add to my running.

2. Have I told you how I love my Nikes? I really do and no other shoe fits my feet better. These are my current “active” Nikes. The non-active retired from running ones sleep outside...

I love my Nikes!

3. Spiral the dog…yes, the same one that broke his leg sometime ago is back to full strength…and full mischief. Need to get rid of a couch? Call Spiral and he will happily assist!

Spiral couch removal specialists...

I hope you all have a splendid week!

Sounds like the Body for Life program is working well for you! Oh, Spiral looks a tad guilty there, but still cute!

Oh dear! That poor couch! lol...
I used to be a strict nike girl... but i've found that brooks fit me way better! :) I still love nike running apparel, but I've made the cross over on my shoes :)

With Nike I'm hit and miss depending on model and year, but luckily there are lots of choices!

Glad to see Spiral has recovered. I assume that's his couch now!

Maybe Spiral needed to keep that collar on a while longer! Ha. I wonder if you can get insurance to cover it?? ;)

Nice job on the Body for Life, that is fantastic! I need to start doing that...anything other than what I'm doing! Ha.

The picture of Spiral and the couch cracked me up...only because I have a couch demolition specialist at my house as well! Her name is Delta, and she has an appetite for destruction!

That photo with Spiral is hysterical (I'm sorry for laughing at the loss of your couch). There's such mischief in her face. I'll bet you were wishing that she still had her Elizabethan collar on.

I need to show my son this picture. He was complaining because his dog ate part of his sweatshirt.

Oh. my. goodness. Such destruction. Such a sweet face. Don't you wish you had a video camera to have recorded this little outburst? It appears there is no shame or embarrassment, either! What was your reaction when you walked in??? Have a most wonderful week! We have been out of town and need to get caught up on everyone!

Wowsers - that's a lot of active Nikes!

I am an Adidas/Mizuno person but I am willing to try most any type of shoe.

You also reminded me why I have cats.

Ha! That's a dog with a mission!! Those are a lot of shoes. Are they all currently in rotation?

I can't believe Spiral did that!! Frank tore a hole in the side of the couch, I put a big basket of magazines in front of it to hide it. Bad doggie : )

Wow...I think, given the chance, my 9-month old Lab would do the same thing to a couch.
It sounds like you've started a really good program! Congrats on the weight loss so far.

Alma said...

oh no! the couch! I hope you were wanting a new one anyway???

Glad he is feeling better :)

Glad to hear that the "Body for Life program" is going well! Since Eastern Monday I've tryed to lose weight ... unsuccessfully until now :)
I remember that in a previous post (maybe last year) you spoke about your Nike running shoes.
Have a nice weekend!

Glad that Spiral feels good and you and Anette are losing weight.
i like the Nike shoes but they don't fit for my feet.
And my first shoes were the famous Nike Elite Classic (do you remember the cover of the J. Fixx' book?) and the second the Pegasus. Later they changed shape and I couldn't wear them anymore.

Awesome job on the plan by both of you. I'm a Nike girl..I love love love my Lunarglides and hope they never change them (well a lot anyway).
