Time for some other things

This weekend was nice and relaxed for me with no serious running as priority. It was the end of a good recovery week for me and I only ran 5km on Saturday and 12.2km on Sunday.

This left me with time to do some gardening…I love plants and flowers!

I also had time to clean the fish tanks.

I really relaxed when I spent some time with my model train layout.

I hope you all had great weekends as well. Have a happy week everyone!

Your garden is amazing!
That's on my 2011 goals. I'd love a garden - well I'd love to not kill everything I plant. I kill cacti & apparently that's pretty hard to do in AZ. ;)
Glad you had a great relaxing weekend. :)

Hi Johann,
I really need a weekend like yours. Life has been so freaking crazy and all I want is a few days to relax:) My little guy would love your fish and the trains! I think it is wonderful that you had a nice weekend. Take care Johann!

Now this is one serious model plane setup. I could play with it for hours.
Have a great week.

Not plane, I meant train. OK, I need more coffee.

Nice garden and pretty cool model train layout. How do you find time to run?:) I am really looking forward to a few free and relaxing weekends after my next marathon on November. Have a great week!

It's good to have a week to step away somewhat from the rigors of running schedule. How big are the clown loach you have? Nice looking tanks!

So this is what a running machine does with his down time. LOVE IT! Still...I just can't imagine you sitting still. All new respect for you...and your balanced life. hats off.

Your flowers and aquarium look so pretty...both are so relaxing for me. Well, unless I have a billion weeds, which I tend to have. Enjoy the time off :).

Your model train is very nice Johann. I have two Maerklin model trains.
Have a good recovery time again!

I had to mention it, but one of your fish is floating upside down ... maybe camera shy?

Are those sharks in there!

That's really cool that you have these hobbies/activities! I love gardening also.

I love the flowers! Looks like you take great care of them.

That is an awesome train setup. Lots of relaxing hours spent there I am certain.

Have a great week!

Love the model railroad. When I was a kid our entire attic was devoted to one. I could spend hours up there with my Dad, lost in another universe of miniature, buildings, bridges and landscapes. Thanks for the memories!

Hey, you're a train guy! That's so cool. I always see train shows at fairs and exhibits but I've never known anyone personally who has that has an interest or hobby!
Cool!
So Africa does have African Daisies?? Those grow so well here! So do the astromeria lillies. Yep, we do live in similar climates :) !

Johann, one other question. Is that an HO set or a larger gauge? I still have a N-scale in my basement ready for someone to play with it - and me ready to "train" them to play with it.

No children interested yet!

Hey Johann! Thanks for your comment on my blog. I really do appreciate it. It means a lot.

I actually love gardening, too. My dad was a farmer when he grew up in Ireland. He still treats his garden in NY like it needs attention from dawn til dusk. Haha! I guess that rubbed off on me. Glad you cleaned those fish tanks... looks like they needed it.

My weekend was AWESOME, but you already knew that.
