Looking at them I realized these photos all tell a story and the ones where I really look bad have better and more interesting stories than most of the others. These were usually true battles and the photos let me relive those battles.
For today I post my “worst photo”. It’s not a bad photo, but this was the worst I ever felt and looked at the finish of any race. It is quite old (1996) but I learnt a lot from this battle. This was drip time!
I’m running a 6.2km time trial on Saturday and a 15km race on Sunday. This is a local race that I like to support. I’ll do it as a training run.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and good luck to all doing races!

Good luck at both your events! It is supposed to rain here but I hope to get in two bike rides.
As long as we learn something right? Best of luck this weekend!
Even in your worst photo you are looking strong. Enjoy the races/training runs!
Johann, you sure do a lot of races, good for you! I have a few of "those" photos and your right usually the bad ones have a more interesting tag line then the pretty ones. Cheers! And have a great weekend.
Enjoy your weekend of racing Johann! If that is your worst day on the run, you have nothing to worry about - you looked pretty strong!
I like that photo--it shows how much effort you put into the event. Good luck this weekend!
Awesome photo! Shows how tough you are working!
Enjoy your weekend of racing!
best wishes this weekend!
This is your worst photo? You look so strong here.
Have a great weekend. Waiting for your reports.
That picture tells a great story! I love looking back on photos and remembering how I felt.
Good luck with the time trial + race... have a great weekend!
That picture makes me feel tired. I can't even imagine running that far. Good luck with your running this weekend.
Enjoy your weekend..Keep running.
You have that "Nothing's going to stop me" look.
At last you are talking about "Battles", now you are ready to join the B.K. Army!
You gave me the inspiration, now I look for my worst running photo for my next post. Good luck on the racing week end.
ok-that is not bad. If that's your worst . . . you rock. Well you do anyway. ;)
I don't think that this is your worst photo Johann. Good luck at both your events and have a nice weekend Johann!
Aw, poor Johann.
Hi Johann,
I think you look great! Seriously you should see my pictures from the Team Ortho Half and Grandma's Half...I look like death:)
Good luck on Sunday!
I hope your race goes well!
I think I've "felt" like you looked in your race picture, many times! Pooped.
I hope you check out the funny comments that were left about you in my comments regarding the boobs, very cute!!
If that's your worst photo than you've ran a lot of great races!
I really like that photo. There's 1000 words worth in there. 1000+ steps and 1000 moments where you had to push yourself to continue. It's great.
Hey ... at least you're not throwing up in the picture! ;)
Good luck this weekend!
I like this picture! Good luck on your race on Sunday - even if it is just for training it hope it is enjoyable to do it with all the other runners for a change of pace!
I don't see anything wrong with this picture. Thanks for the follow. I'm following you now too and linking you to my blog =) good luck on your race =)
You at your worst?! Sê weer?!! I am glad to read that you are back to form and running again this weekend. Good luck with the tt and the race, and looking forward to seeing more pics.
Such an awesome photo. You can almost see what your going through. You also look tough as nails in that pic! Love it.
Good luck in your races tomorrow and your time trial today. The picture looks pretty good to me, but I guess you know what you expect and find more disappointment and more thing to criticize in yourself. I'm like that with me too.
Of all the runners I know - the longer their distances - the more humble, honest and patient they are. I think, like with you, this comes from being very very close to defeat - even defeat and recovery.
Thanks for sharing and being an inspiration and for all the great wishes for my races and training.
I actually really like that picture! =)
