Spotted during my race...

Do you pay attention to things and people next to the road while running a race? I do!

I spotted a local artist selling his artwork on a street corner while running the Striders 32km last weekend. This is very common here in South Africa. Some guys have more stock on the street corner than any studio can dream of!

Happy Friday everyone! Have a super weekend!

I'm always sightseeing when I run. Maybe not as cool as your sights, though! :)

Fun! One of the things I love about running/racing--the world you would not otherwise see!

It's things like this that make every run interesting.

This reminds me of the various things you see posted on running forums "What is the strangest thing you have seen on a run?" Which always prompts for some strange answers.
Anything to keep us running.

I was expecting REAL animals you saw. Too funny.

I have heard of singers or musicians along the track (for instance, Berlin half marathon) but not artists selling their handmades :) wonderful, Johann! That's why I love running!
Thanks for sharing all the interesting updates and beautiful photos.
Have a nice weekend!

Beautiful artworks. A good reason to come back there.
Often I come back to the places where I have run a race to enjoy more the town/city.
