Missed race but happy

I had no choice but to skip yesterday's Colgate 32km (20 Mile) race. I am still coughing and not 100% over the chest cold that's been haunting me for more than a week now.

However, all is not lost! Even though I haven't been running the races as planned this week is still the official start of my trail season for 2012. I can look forward to lots of this...

sorry about the missed race, but sounds like you made the wise call. Get yourself well so you can pound out those trail miles. Hoping to take your lead and spend some more time on the trails this summer.

Oh no, too bad you had to miss another race! I'm glad you aren't too bummed about it, though.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Ladies Run video - the only bad thing about that video is that I couldn't find myself in it - LOL!

Sorry you missed the race but you did the right thing..a chest cold can only turn into something more serious if you run! Lots to look forward to for sure! Hope you feel better soon.

Bummer on missing the race but you were wise to do so. Sometimes that chest gunk just hangs on.
Hooray for trail season!

seems the colds are hanging around for an extended period this year (boo). tough, but wise decision.

as for your comment on misszippy's blog, I'm much the same, mostly running friends for me too.

Hope you are getting better, Johann! Trail season sounds fun. I had no idea you were living at that elevation. Thanks for you thoughts on the possible marathon. You have lots of experience with them.

Run happy this weekend!
