Quick Update

Although I haven't run any races  recently, I've been training hard and doing some LSD runs every weekend. My lovely wife Anette has been supporting me on her bike and this works really well. No time for me to be lazy!

Good times!

On Thursday registration for the Pikes Peak marathon opens. I really hope I can secure myself a spot. It will be very exciting if we can travel to Colorado in August to run this little mountain!

Happy running everyone!

Good luck on your entry! How wonderful that your wife can accompany you on your runs. Sometimes, like today, it gets lonely running alone.: )

Good luck getting in. I think they have to give it to you--you're coming all the way from South Africa and are going to be on honeymoon. Come on!

I hope you get in! I'm still holding out hope that maybe I can come out in August and cheer you all on. So unlikely, but it would be great!

It's so nice that you and your wife can share that time outside together. She clearly gets how important running is to you and wants to be a part of it. So wonderful. :)

No time for you to be lazy? You wouldn't understand the meaning of the word lazy. I'm sure that a lazy week for you would be only three runs or less than 60k total distance. Lazy and Johann could never be in the same sentence together.

HappyTrails said...

Good luck today Johann - will be thinking about you around our lunch time, sending good registration vibes!!!

"My lovely wife..." isn't it so AWESOME to say that? It is so great that she rides while you run :) A lot of years ago, my husband used to do that for me and I LOVED it.

Here's hoping Colorado happens and you get to run up that psycho mountain! Actually, it sounds very appealing :)
