Quick Update
Although I haven't run any races recently, I've been training hard and doing some LSD runs every weekend. My lovely wife Anette has been supporting me on her bike and this works really well. No time for me to be lazy!
On Thursday registration for the Pikes Peak marathon opens. I really hope I can secure myself a spot. It will be very exciting if we can travel to Colorado in August to run this little mountain!
Happy running everyone!

Great that you have your wife along on your runs. Good luck with the registration...hope you get in!

Exercise for everyone and quality time together for you and your new bride - it's a win win for everyone!
You've got to get in! I will have fingers crossed for you on Thursday morning.
Awesome that you not only have a wife, but a training partner!
Best wishes to get into Pike's peak!! :)

Finger's crossed for you for PP! Keep me posted. And if you need me to do anything for you - like register or something - just holler!
That is so cool how supportive your wife is! I sure hope you can get in Pikes Peak...maybe you could drop by Ozark while your in country!?
Good luck on your entry! How wonderful that your wife can accompany you on your runs. Sometimes, like today, it gets lonely running alone.: )
Good luck getting in. I think they have to give it to you--you're coming all the way from South Africa and are going to be on honeymoon. Come on!
Pikes Peak marathon at what point can I lift my jaw from the floor...what a profile! I really hope you get a place it looks an fantastic challenge.
Are you ready to feel that burn in your legs??? :)
I hope you get in! I'm still holding out hope that maybe I can come out in August and cheer you all on. So unlikely, but it would be great!
It's so nice that you and your wife can share that time outside together. She clearly gets how important running is to you and wants to be a part of it. So wonderful. :)

On that picture, the mountain does look innocent, doesn't it?

Great to have such wonderful support from your wife alongside you!
Best of luck in getting into Pike's Peak race.
Great to hear about your registration! The chart of the Pikes Peak marathon's mountain is impressive!
That's so nice that your wife goes cycling while you are running.
No time for you to be lazy? You wouldn't understand the meaning of the word lazy. I'm sure that a lazy week for you would be only three runs or less than 60k total distance. Lazy and Johann could never be in the same sentence together.
Good luck today Johann - will be thinking about you around our lunch time, sending good registration vibes!!!
It is so nice that you and your wife do the workouts together!
Good luck for the registration and ... the race!
"My lovely wife..." isn't it so AWESOME to say that? It is so great that she rides while you run :) A lot of years ago, my husband used to do that for me and I LOVED it.
Here's hoping Colorado happens and you get to run up that psycho mountain! Actually, it sounds very appealing :)
How great that you two work out together! Good times :) . Fingers crossed for Pikes Peak!
Hope you are getting in your altitude training! :)
