2011 Easter 100 Done & Dusted

The Easter 100 is something of the past and my legs can feel I’ve done some hard running the last three days. 100km in three days on very tough routes with some major hills and downhills. I must say yesterday’s 19km went better than I expected and I finished feeling sore but strong. I was not tired at all yesterday. This is certainly a good sign.

I’m really excited to have completed this, but also, if you look at my sidebar on the right, the Comrades Marathon has crept into the spot as my next goal.

I leave you with a few photos from the 2011 Easter 100.

 Have a great week everyone!

I can see from the photos there were some serious hills! You kicked it Johann, congrats. Now some good rest and you get in the final stretch for Comrades. How exciting is that!

Any time you can tell a hill's a hill in a picture, you know it's challenging. Way to power through. Glad you are feeling strong and not tired out. You're going to be so ready for Comrades, and I'm excited to get to follow you though it.

Ah! Comrades is so soon! Seriously, though, it seems like you're as prepared as you could possibly be. You've gotten to the race start - the rest is just gravy.

Pretty pics, but the hills looked, well, hilly. Make for a tougher 100k. Congrats.

Having just run a marathon and struggled with the distance, I have a new respect and admiration for ultra runners. Great job!
