Exciting Change Of Goal

I've  had two main goals for the second half of the year. Both were circuit races and I love running them. But now a new race popped up that I just have to do. The Ultra Trail Cape Town.

This will take place on 25 October and I have already entered the 62km event. I have been keen on a trail race in Cape Town for a long time now, but I have really been waiting for an ultra run. So this is it and I am very excited!

So I am changing my 18 hour circuit race goal for October to the Ultra Trail Cape Town 62km goal. My Decmber goal remains as it is with the 48 hour circuit race.

Great reasons to train and prepare with 100% commitment.

YAY! The perfect race for you, Johann! Thought I hope it doesn't involve swimming...isn't that big shark country in Cape Town? :) Looking froward to hearing about all your training.

Words cannot describe my jealousy of this. Adding this race to my bucket list.

What a great race goal to look forward to! I'm guessing you need to prepare for lots of hills.

We had a great visit in Capetown in 2007. Alas, I was not a runner then 8( We had a great time.

We rented a car and over several days drove to Knysna, then north on the R339 (in our rental sedan..(gulp)) but made it ok up to the R62 and drove back to CT on that. 8)

Nice pic of table mountain, et al.
