I just read something lately that went something like "the stuff you do when you're wasting time is what you're really meant to be doing". I love my job, but I'd MUCH rather be doing social media for races, blogging about races, or training for races. If only there was a market for mediocre athletes... :)

That's exactly how I feel, you nailed it, Johann!
definitely!
Professional running sounds like the job for you! :)
work so gets in the way of running!!
Of course, I also do it. Every day I think about running drills, workouts, running repeats, stretching, tempo runs, ... shall I continue?

Sigh. Yes! too bad we can't all be elites and run for a living.
Ha! My brother sent me a mug with the same saying on it. Love it. :)
Hmmm... YES!!!!
I am also born to taste-test chocolate, but have not been given that job yet.
I guess that's why we have to "work" - so we can pay for our running obsession. Dangit.
It doesn't help in my case that I work pt for a running store. :)
Working definitely interferes with my training life! But got to pay those darn bills.
That's why I play the LOTTO...
Hehe - I think a lot of us have this conundrum! :)
This is so true!
Born to run, stopped by injures and forced to work (thanks to the worst minister we had in Italy).
I definitely have this problem too! Work, always getting in the way ;)
