Summer Trails = Green Trails!

Summer is here and that also means our rain season is here. That means my favorite tails are getting greener and greener by the day. Beautiful and awesome!

I went for a trail run on Saturday and can you believe it...I forgot my camera! I took a few pics with my phone but my phone's camera is really very bad.

Anyway, I had a great run and enjoyed the green, lush trails that were still dry and shades of brown when I ran there the previous time.

There were also lots of other colors to be seen...

I also saw lots of this yellow parasite plant, growing and feeding on the plants in the area. I think this is an alien and hope they will get rid of it soon. It looks like Dodder to me.

The trails are beautiful now and there are also hundreds of birds and other wild life to be seen. I will not forget my camera when I do my trail run this Saturday.

Have a great week everyone!

So pretty! It's usually very brown at this time here, but our weather has been so weird that while most trees have dropped their leaves there's still a lot of green. I love the way the seasons change my favorite trails. :)

Looks like a glorious place to run!

Colorado is butt ugly right now ... no snow in Denver and totally brown! But the mountains are pretty :).

You've obviously had some good rain since last year. I remember thinking that it looked really dry in some of your race reports. The green looks so much better than the brown.
Summer's hit us in a big way this week. We're expecting 39 today. I'll be hiding in the air conditioned workroom - with the dogs.

I always get a kick out of our opposite seasons.

I hate invasive plants. Good luck with that one being gotten rid of.
