A Foto For Friday

A lot of you would have seen this photo of Oscar Pistorius (South Africa's Blade Runner) on Face Book. It inspires me so much I want to share it here as well.

Have a great Friday and super weekend all!

I cannot tell you in words how much I love this picture -- I work with newborns who have all sorts of health stuff going on and without going into too much detail I am currently working with a family whose little one has to ultimately have a leg amputated. The parents' first question?
"Will our kid be able to run?" The docs didn't seem too optimistic, talking about the cost of a prosthesis and stuff like that, but I told him about Pistorius and showed him a picture of him sprinting across a football field in a recent issue of Outside. And now I can show them this picture and maybe they will start to think that maybe their tiny baby will one day run faster than the rest of us put together.

Awesome! Oscar Pistorius is a huge inspiration and it is so amazing to watch him run. He was in Belgium for the Memorial Van Damme this year.
