A Foto For Friday
With my recent birthday and a lot of blogs with back to school related posts I decided on this photo for my “Foto for Friday”. Can’t believe my 1st year at school was 40 years ago!
I think I know that kid ... didn't you throw pencils on the floor in front of the teacher's desk to look up under her skirt? ... no wait a second, that was the kid beside you. You were the kid that nobody could catch at recess.
http://www.wassies.co.za/ - top Christian, academic parallel medium school translated into Canadaian "parallel medium" would be "separate elementary" ... I'm guessing.
Cute kid, how'd you grow up to from that to wear hat brims on the right side of your head?
Hi Johann, You were such a cute little boy! I think that your son looks alot like you:) I was going through some of my old childhood pictures too....I also pulled out my first grade school picture:) It is fun to look back....it brings back special memories.
Kathleen was wondering if you speak Dutch, by chance? Her whole family is from Holland and supposedly many Dutch speaking people live in your area as well. Just curious...
Was that your school blazer? And they made you wear it right from the beginning of school? My youngest has only just gotten his first blazer and he's in his last year of school
Oh this brings back memories! Nice choice for a Friday pic.....so we wore uniforms too - stripey blazers and HATS...that was my end....but what to do, we had to suck it up and wear them.
Johann, I could not resist posting this....when I first saw your pic, I immediately thought of a tv series - I am sure you know it too...but just in case you forgot, enjoy!
What an absolutely smart looking suit. You ever notice we never dress our kids up anymore?
