With the
Golden Gate Challenge happening next week I thought I’d share a photo of my first visit to Golden Gate National Park with you. In 1964 I went there the first time, not to run, not hike, but to ride some horses!
I was born a natural in the saddle…
Happy Friday everyone!
Great picture! Good luck with the race.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! You guys sure have some awesome races there!
ReplyDeleteYou're the cutest!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love every part of this picture. You on the donkey, the woman on the left and the little boy, and the man at the head of the donkey, the background -- it's perfectly framed. How neat that you have this picture. Happy Friday to you!
ReplyDeleteYou are a natural in the saddle. So wouldn't about riding instead of running be more fun? :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck next week even if you decid to use your own two feet.
Very nice photo, Johann!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
Fun pic! Good luck at Golden Gate Challenge.
ReplyDeleteLove it :)
ReplyDeleteI have not sent the flag yet...but, will do it within the next week or two for sure. I think I will send it to Italy...I will email one of the boys and see if it's okay! Sorry, I've been a little overwhelmed lately :)
Oh my goodness--too cute! I hope you have a fabulous time with the race. What a great experience. I think you might remember this one better than when you were there on the horse! ; )
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful memory. Good luck. I am sure you will do a great race.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! Have a great race!! :)

ReplyDeleteIs it next week already??? Take it easy and get some rest...
Hi Johann,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry I am leaving a comment, I can't find your email. I am writing you in the hopes that you want to participate in an e-book we are writing about ultra runners.
We want to tap into the collective craziness (we mean that as a compliment:-)) of this community to challenge and inspire other non-runners to make their own life an ever-greater creative expression of their own goals and dreams… without limits.
Progress so far: We have currently contacted more than 450 ultra runners and received more than 70 answers.
We would ask you to answer a question about your experience with ultra running. Please note that these questions are related to your mental state and require that you are able to explain quite specifically what is going on mentally when running.
If you'd like to participate please shoot me an email at dreamit@juliossol.com.
Thanks!
All the best,
Jannick
