I remarked how amazing it is for these two small, almost nothing, seeds from the supermarket floor to become this big and beautiful. His answer: “just like your running dad. You started with almost nothing and look how far and strong you run now.” That made my day and inspired this post.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’m running a half marathon on Sunday as part of my recovery from last weekend’s rough run.
Happy running!
"Out of the mouths of babes", a lovely reminder of how anything can be nutured into something beautiful - very wise Rohann!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're doing better.
You have one smart fellow growing there. And think, he started with a tiny seed too and then all he needed was love and care.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Johann.
What a wonderful and accurate analogy! Have a great race!
ReplyDeleteJohann,
ReplyDeleteWeird I read you last report but never commented. Old age... I love the pictures from that race, but gosh I am sorry you had to feel so miserable. I am guessing you are feeling a bit better and I hope the half goes well. What a gorgeous son! And very smart too.
What a cool story! I love the connection he made, too. That put a smile on my face. So neat that he recognizes the process and work that go into your running. :)
ReplyDeletePriceless!
ReplyDeleteQuite a fine young lad you are raising there Johann! Have a good "light" weekend of running and take care of yourself!
What a wonderful post! Made me smile this morning!!!

Your sunflower looks just perfect where you guys planted it - nice job!!
Good luck with the half, my favorite distance! Enjoy! :)
That is the best! The power of a parent's influence...good for you. And your garden looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! And the plants are beautiful!!
